The Friends Book Store is Open!
The Bookstore, located on the first floor of the Central Library, sells used and donated books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs, generally for $2 or less. Proceeds from sales are used by the Friends of the Madison Public Library organization to support the Central Library and library programming and services throughout the community.
The Bookstore is refreshed frequently, with titles rotating in and out (check out each month’s new dot color to easily identify new materials). And just because the books are used, doesn’t mean they’re old: the store has selections ranging from children’s to teen to adult fiction, recent travel guides and biographies, to classics and reference books, and just about everything in between. If you don’t see what you’re looking for – ask the clerk. There is a storage room in the library and the Friends’ sorting area in the Library’s warehouse stocked with books that might have just that special title.
