The Friends membership year starts on April 1 and ends March 31. Member cards will be mailed to persons that complete the Friends of the Madison Public Library membership application and pay annual dues. Member cards are sent out three times annually – usually about two to three weeks before each Friends booksale – to persons who have renewed or sent in new member applications since the last mailing. Mailings for 2010-11 are tentatively scheduled for September 1, January 26, and April 6. Bring the card with you to gain access to the Friends book sales during members-only hours and other members-only events. A Friends member card may also get you access to branch Friends booksales during their members-only hours due to an informal agreement among Madison library Friends groups.
